Why do bottom heaters seem to release less heat?

The wattage of the bottom panel was intentionally designed to be lower than that of the top panels. Normally the bottom heater is 200-300W each while the upper heater is 400W each. The upper heating can reach temperatures of more than 80°C and the bottom one can reach more than 65°C

The bottom heaters in an infrared sauna may seem to release less heat because infrared saunas are designed to distribute heat more intensely towards the upper body, where most of the body’s heat receptors are located. The upper and side heaters usually emit more heat to target the torso, shoulders, and back, which are more sensitive to infrared radiation.

How do you ensure the quality and safety of your saunas?

Forge do not use toxic materials and prioritise low EMF levels as the entire purpose of owning a sauna is to detox and strengthen your health, so we don’t want to jeapordize that. How do I take care of my sauna?

- After each use leave the door open to let it dry naturally and prevent mold.

- Always capture sweat with a towel as the more sweat that absorbs into the wood, the faster the hygiene of your sauna will deteriorate.

How do I clean my sauna?

Use a dry cloth to wipe any sweat, and a damp cloth to wipe any stains once the sauna is dry. Do not use any harsh chemicals, stick to natural solutions like lemon juice, and essential oils.

What is LED light therapy and how does it work?

LED light therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to penetrate the skin and stimulate cellular processes like collagen production, inflammation reduction, and bacterial killing. Different wavelengths target different skin layers and conditions.

For example, a good spot would be near a window in your living room, or in the garage. An example of where not to put your sauna would be in a small closet, or in a poorly ventilated bathroom.

What skin layers do the different light
colors penetrate?

Blue light (415nm) mainly affects the epidermis. Yellow light (590nm) penetrates into the upper dermis. Red light (633nm) reaches deeper into the dermis. Near-infrared light (830nm) penetrates deepest, reaching the dermis and subcutaneous tissue.

What skin benefits can I expect from
each light wavelength?

Blue light targets acne-causing bacteria and reduces breakouts. Yellow light promotes skin rejuvenation and reduces inflammation. Red light boosts collagen, reduces wrinkles, and aids healing. Near-infrared light penetrates deeply to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, and promote tissue repair.

How safe is this light therapy?

LED light therapy is safe and non-invasive. It does not use harmful UV rays and has minimal side effects when used properly. Some people on photosensitive medications or with specific conditions should consult a doctor first.

How long should a treatment session last?

Treatment sessions typically last about 20 to 30 minutes per area, depending on the skin condition being treated. We recommend doing this daily.

Can I combine different light colors
in one treatment?

Yes, treatment protocols often combine blue, yellow, red, and near-infrared lights to target multiple layers and skin concerns simultaneously for enhanced results.

Are there any side effects?

Side effects are rare but can include mild redness or temporary warmth at the treated skin. Non-permanent hyperpigmentation after intense treatments is possible but usually resolves.

How many treatments will I need?

Our clients typically see improvements in their skin after 14 days of daily use. However we recommend making it a habit and continuing treatment for at least 30 days, as skin cellular processes take time to respond and regenerate.

Can light therapy be used on all skin types?

Yes, LED light therapy is safe for all skin tones and types, including sensitive skin. Our products are approved by dermatologists.

What precautions should I take for my
treatment?

Avoid makeup, lotions, or oils before treatment, these will not only dirty your mask, but inhibit the efficacy of treatment. Use protective eyewear if you have sensitive eyes. Inform your doctor that you plan to use an LED mask if you have any existing skin conditions. Always apply sunscreen after treatment when exposed to sunlight.
